I am in shock at how much traffic I get from Pinterest, especially when it comes from my “Personal Finance” board. Apparently there are people out there that want to get control of there finances and they hang out on Pinterest. Here is a list of the pictures I’ve pinned that have got the most re-pins:

I am so out of the loop when it comes to Pinterest. What is it, again? I may have to check it out!
I know how you feel Holly. I just set up a Pinterest account when it first came out and pinned a few things. The next thing I knew, I had 1000′s of visitors on my blog from a post that I pinned. It is definitely worth checking out!
Hey Deacon,
Yeah I just started a pinterest board not long ago too – I actually set it up so I could creep on my girlfriend’s “wants” board so I could get ideas for Christmas…
But I am beginning to see visitors trickle through.
Also – the title of a pin I uploaded came up as a search engine term in my WordPress stats… not sure how they connected because the image wasn’t hosted on my site… have you found that happen to you?
That’s so awesome about all of the pinterest traffic! I need to work on that.
Let me know if you create a Pinterest account because I will be the first to follow you!
I am on Pinterest all the time…. mostly looking for recipes and re decorating tips. Thanks for your inspiration I have just started my own Personal Finance Board.
That is awesome! I just started following your Personal Finance Board
Wow…I have nowhere near that much success with Pinterest. Do you actively repin other people’s posts too? Or do you get these repins without initiating any relationship/effort with these other people?
Most of the re-pins were done organically. I found that it is all about the picture and then having a captivating title for the blog post under the picture. It is still a work in progress but I feel like I have a good eye now for what get’s people’s interest.
I’ve not looked at Pinterest either. I thought with the types of things people do on it that it would not be very successful for a PF blog, but obviously I was wrong. I should look into it, but there’s only so many things one can do. I’ll have to take a look at it.
I’ve never considered Pintrest either. I figured it was only for people who did more photography and stuff that could be better explained with a picture rather than words. I guess it might be time I check it out. Thanks for the great tip.
