It’s time again for the monthly blog income report. If you’ve been following these reports (you can check my other monthly reports here) you’ll know that this is my lowest income month since I started tracking and reporting back in February of this year.

One of the biggest reasons for the drop in income is that I made a technical mistake with the blog that resulted in my views dropping by almost eighty percent. I’ll probably write on that later, but the point is that this is another thing you need to know if you’re going to start making money through blogging.

Blogging income fluctuates anyway, but it doesn’t take a huge mistake to produce a huge drop in page views. However, a huge drop in page views can easily result in a huge drop in affiliate income.  Again, this is something you need to be aware of as you work to make money through any type of side hustle.

What works one month in the blogging and search engine world might now work the next month. Learning how to budget on a fluctuating income is important for anyone who wants to be self employed.

Here’s how I did income wise for the month of June and the breakdown of where my earnings came from.

June Blog Income Report

Total: $869.97

Making over $800 a month by blogging is great, especially when you remember that most of this income is passive income, but I’ll be glad when the numbers get back up into the $1500 a month range and even higher.
