Deacon,

Well-done. All great businessess.

Agreed with the mention of Five Guys Burgers and Fries up above. They've got a location in Mesa and in Tempe. North Scotts by Kierland opening May 10...once you go there, you'll never think of In-N-Out the same.

Great post. I get caught up in the complaining side of business critiquing sometimes that I forget to give credit where credit is due. I share your pleasant feelings about Apples quality, and Redbox's ingenuity. I would ad Deseret Industries to Goodwill. They are similar in concept. I really like 5 guys burger and fries. Just make sure you ask them to cook the beef enough. They make the burger fresh in front of you to your liking. And IT IS AMAZING to my taste. Not the cheapest choice though. Although I have heard contrasting opinions, I really like netflix.com. They mail you DVD's on a subscription basis, just like blockbuster can do. But the difference is that I can actually watch movies directly from my iMac over the internet, but I can't with blockbuster, unless blockbuster has recently changed to allow iMac's along with their PC's.

Another reason why I love in-n-out: They value their employees and show it in their wages. They start at $10 an hour, and can work up to management. Assistant managers make ~$60,000 and the general manager for the store gets 6 figures!
