make 700 fast

Need to make $700 fast? I got you.

Sometimes life puts you in a situation where you need money, and you need it fast. Luckily, we live in a day where you can make money doing almost anything.

Maybe you’ve had some extra bills and can’t pay your rent. Maybe you had an unexpected medical bill or car repair bill and need extra cash to pay for it.

Ways to Earn $700 Quickly

There are many reasons why somebody might need to make $700 fast. Here are some ideas for ways that you can make seven hundred dollars in a short amount of time.

1. Deliver Food

One of the best ways to make $700 quickly is by signing up as a driver for a company like Doordash where you can deliver food to people.

If you are 18 years old or older, you can drive for Doordash. Their site says you can make up to $25 per hour. So if you drive for 28 hours at this rate, you would have your $700.

Another reason it is worth considering Doordash is the amount of delivery options they have available. You can deliver food from restaurants, groceries, or even liquor store orders. This gives you more opportunities to make money on a given day.

2. Rent Out a Room Using Airbnb

Another way to make $700 fast is to rent a room out in your house. There are sites like Airbnb that allow you to list your room for rent and connect you with people looking for a place to stay for short periods.

There are many reasons people might need a place to stay temporarily. Maybe there is a rock concert in your area, and people need a place to stay while they are in town. Or they might just pass through on their way to a different destination.

Through Airbnb, you can rent out your couch or spare bedroom and collect cash.

For instance, if you charged $50 per night, you would have $700 in only 14 days!

3. Sell Your Stuff

Chances are you’ve got a large mass of unused stuff lying around your house and/or garage. What household items or kids’ toys do you have that you no longer need?

Get all of your unused or unwanted stuff together, clean it up so it’s in great shape, and then sell it. You can sell your stuff either online or by having a garage sale.

If you don’t want to do the garage sale thing, you can host a Facebook sale or sell your items on a site like Decluttr. Price your items competitively for a quick sale and keep selling until you’ve reached your goal of $700.

4. Help Your Neighbors

Many homeowners need help with household chores such as spring cleaning, landscaping, and other house/yard work.

Make up some flyers and offer a variety of services to your neighbors to help them get annual or more frequently needed tasks done that very few people like to do.

Some ideas for services you could offer include:

  • Car washing and detailing
  • Window cleaning
  • Lawn mowing, yard cleaning, and pruning
  • Inside spring cleaning, deep cleaning, vacuuming and dusting
  • In-home laundry help
  • Garage, house, or basement cleaning and organization

Another option for making money around your neighborhood is to offer house sitting, babysitting, or pet-sitting services.

5. Check Craigslist for Gigs

Every city’s Craigslist site has a “Gigs” section where people are looking for jobs to be done on a quick and/or temporary basis.

The “Gigs” section has available jobs in a variety of areas to fit almost any skill set, including:

  • Writing
  • Computer-related work
  • Domestic (as in-house work)
  • Event (working one-time events like concerts, parties, and conferences)
  • Labor (hard work gigs such as construction and painting)
  • Crew (which offers an array of temporary jobs)
  • Creative and talent sections, which encompass a variety of short-term jobs

For instance, one available gig on my local Craigslist site was an offer to work charity golf events for up to $250 per event. Another ad wanted people to DJ weddings.

The hiring company provided all equipment and training and paid between $250 and $400 per event. At those prices, you could potentially make $700 in one weekend.

6. Offer Freelancing Services

If you have a skill you’re good at, you could answer job ads or place service ads on sites such as Upwork. Are you a skilled graphic designer? A great freelance writer? Can you build websites? Or perform social media promotion?

Maybe you’d make a great virtual assistant.  There are many options, and since you can perform many of the jobs around your schedule, you can make $700 fast by working in your spare time.

My friend Kayla works as a freelance virtual assistant and earns over $10,000 per month.

7. Pet Sit

If you love pets, you could turn that passion into cold hard cash. Many pet owners, myself included, are constantly on the hunt for an excellent pet sitter that makes our furry friends comfortable when we can’t be there for them.

As a pet sitter, you can offer a variety of services. You might start by walking dogs while their owners are out of town or even staying with the pets at their house until their owners return.

One way to get started is to spread the word through your family and friends. But you can also sign up for one of the many pet-sitting apps.

Making around $15 per hour translates into just over 46 hours of pet sitting before you hit your $700 goal.

8. Take Photographs

If you have a decent camera and reasonable skills, taking pictures is one way to make fast cash. Although you can produce a passive income stream by selling stock photos, that takes time, which you don’t have.

Instead of playing the long game, taking pictures of events and family portraits can lead to a more immediate payday. According to The Knot, couples are paying an average of $2,500 for a wedding photographer.

Depending on your location and skills, family portraits can also turn into a payday of several hundred dollars. In some cases, you’ll earn the $700 you need in just a few days by taking pictures.

9. Get a Side Job as a Bartender Or Server

When you look at the upfront wages of a server or bartender, you’ll likely be disappointed. But the good news is that you can make more money with tips. In some locations, you might earn the $700 you are looking for quickly.

According to one estimate, servers in the U.S. make around $100 in tips per day. With that, you’d only need to work one week to get the money you need.

Of course, the amount you are tipped varies widely based on the location and experience. If possible, find a job in a hot restaurant with plenty of customers ready to tip you.

10. Ask For A Raise At Work

Although all of the options we’ve looked at so far involve a new source of income, it’s worth looking at your primary income stream. If you are overdue for a raise, it might be the right time to ask for a raise.

Before heading to your boss’s office, conduct some research. Look into the average salary for your position, make a list of your qualifications, and note any recent achievements.

Armed with that information, ask your boss for a meeting about your compensation. Be prepared to ask politely.

11. Charge Scooters

If you live near a major city like Austin or Chicago, for example, you may see scooters on racks. Or better yet, people in suites, riding scooters to work.

One of the best options for getting paid to charge scooters is Bird Micro-Electric. It is in over 350 major cities and needs your help to recharge the scooters.

Scooter sharing is a new phenomenon across several major cities. And this is where a great side job to earn a quick $700 bucks comes into play.

On average, you may make up to $5 per charged scooter. However, in major populated cities, companies like Bird may pay up to $20 per hour.  Top Bird chargers target 15 to 20 scooters a night.

12. Deliver Lost Luggage

According to the Independent, over 26 million bags were misplaced in a year. The bags eventually made it back to the right airports, yet their owners were not there to pick them up,

This is where major airlines hire people to return lost luggage. This is a great side gig or the perfect summer hustle for teachers or other staff who have the summer off.

As a luggage delivery driver, for example, with Roadie, you can make up to $8 to $50 for local deliveries and up to $650 for long-haul oversized bags. Roadie partnered with Delta to make luggage returns faster.

Be a few long-haul drives or a day of returning local bags. This may be a great way to get $700 in a few days.

13. Become a Virtual Assistant

Working-from-home jobs are super popular. Gone are the days of having a secretary or admin. A Virtual Assistant job is a great way to make $700 quickly. Becoming a virtual assistant is easy.

Most virtual assistants may start at $12 an hour and have the potential to make up to $60 an hour or more based on the skills required and the clients you take on.

If you average $20 per hour, you could work a simple 35-hour work week to get your $700 (before taxes).

The beautiful part of being a virtual assistant, besides working from home, is you can have more than one client.

14. Flip Stuff for Money

Flipping stuff is like being a treasure hunter without a pirate boat. For example, I recently was at a garage sale and noticed Harley Davidson luggage bag liners listed for $10.

The bags were new. Unfortunately, the husband had passed, and the wife was selling everything. The new bags sell for $150.

Finding things to flip is not difficult. Looking for garage sales in affluent neighborhoods is a smart choice.

For instance, most new driver golf clubs average $100 to $300. And a new set of golf clubs can cost $700 and up. Finding a great set of clubs on a Saturday morning is a great way to make $700 after you flip them.

15. Teach English As a Second Language

English has been a sought-after language for many foreigners. In fact, you can teach English online to anyone who has access to the internet.

There are many ways to teach English as a second language. Sites like VipKid and more offer you the tools and connections to get started.

Many online tutoring companies pay between $14 to $22 an hour. Making $700 would mean you need roughly 35 hours (at a $20 per hour rate).

Besides online tutoring, you can also offer your services locally. Some community colleges or local language schools are always looking for help.

Summary

If you want to make $700 fast, there are all kinds of great ways to make extra money if you can find spare time in your schedule.

With a little extra cash in your pocket, you can pay for necessary expenses or use the money to achieve a financial goal, such as getting out of debt.

I recently started with the company, DoorDash. It is a great way to earn extra money because you get paid to deliver food. It uses an app to let you know when you have a new order and where to deliver it to. Once you complete your first few orders you can qualify to take catering orders which pay much higher. They pay weekly by direct deposit or you can select daily pay.

    What do I do?

    1. Deacon Hayes says:

It really depends. Do you have a reliable car? If so, then Uber is worth considering. Do you have an extra room in your house? Then maybe rent it out on Airbnb.

Probably the fastest way to get 700 dollars quickly is to sell stuff on Craigslist that you don’t need. Things like electronics, tools, and furniture tend to bring in more money fast.
