Amazon Prime Discount: $5.99/Month for EBT and Medicaid Cardholders

This discount has been around for a little while, but I wanted to be sure those who are eligible have heard of it: get an Amazon Prime membership for just $5.99/month if you’re an EBT or Medicaid cardholder! This is a savings of $7/month on a Prime monthly membership.

And yes, you’ll get all the same discounts and benefits that a full-priced Prime membership offers.

Here’s what you’ll need to do to qualify:

  • Confirm your eligibility. You’ll need to scan and submit a copy of your EBT card or Medicaid card.
  • Sign up for a 30-day free trial.
  • Start using your Prime benefits! The $5.99/month fee will be charged to your card on file every month until you cancel.

If you don’t qualify for this discount and you know you’ll use your Prime membership year round, you can save by paying for a full year at a time ($119, or $9.92/month).

Instacart EBT Discount

Here’s another discount for EBT SNAP users: pay with EBT SNAP on Instacart at select retailers and you’ll get FREE grocery delivery or pickup on your first 3 EBT orders of $35 or more! Terms apply.

Free delivery or pickup offers valid through 12/31/21 on first 3 $35+ orders. Alcohol products excluded. Fees, taxes, and/or tips may apply. Delivery and pickup subject to availability. Additional terms apply. See Instacart Terms of Service for more details.
