Josh Patoka

Josh has been a personal finance writer since 2016. His prior professional experience includes being a transportation operations supervisor for a S&P 500 company.

He has paid off $80,000 in consumer debt and uses his experience of getting out of debt and changing careers to write about many personal finance topics including making money, saving money and investing.

Although it’s a story for another day, Josh took a nine-month hiatus from full-time employment to build his house with lots of “sweat equity” and scouring Craigslist deals.

Today, he tutors and writes about most things personal finance for several online publications.

In his free time, you can find Josh spending time with his wife and children or reading a non-fiction book.
