You can also earn points when you sign up for SJ Pulse. SJ Pulse is an app that you install on your PC or mobile device.
It tracks your searches and then sells that information (anonymously) to companies to help them track user preferences.
You can use the points you earn to get free Xbox gift cards. You can also choose from a variety of other retailer gift cards, or you can convert your points into PayPal cash.
2. InboxDollars
InboxDollars is a survey site that pays you in real cash, not points. You can earn money by completing a variety of activities including:
- Taking surveys
- Playing games
- Shopping online
- Buying groceries
And more. Every activity you complete will earn you a prespecified dollar amount. Once you’ve earned at least $30 you can cash out.
Of course, you can get an Xbox e-gift card with your earnings. However, you can also choose to take PayPal cash or get gift cards from other retailers as well.
3. LifePoints
LifePoints is another survey company. When you register for an account with LifePoints (it’s free to do so), they’ll send you surveys to take.
Each survey you take will earn you points, which you can then use to get Xbox gift cards, other retailer gift cards or PayPal cash.
LifePoints also has occasional sweepstakes drawings where you could win prizes such as smart TVs, phones and tablets.
4. Swagbucks
Swagbucks is one of my favorite ways to get free Xbox gift cards. This is because the site offers so many ways to earn points that you can trade in for free gift cards.
In fact, the company has paid out over $800 million in rewards to date.
You can earn points (called SB) for activities such as:
- Playing games
- Taking surveys
- Browsing the internet
- Discovering deals
- Shopping online
And more. Another cool thing about Swagbucks is that the minimum cashout amount is only $1. So, if you wanted to, you could earn a small Xbox gift card every day.
5. MyPoints
MyPoints is one of many GPT (get-paid-to) sites owned by Prodege. Prodege also owns Swagbucks.
MyPoints offers three main ways to earn points for free Xbox cards: Taking surveys, shopping online and playing fun games.
You can also earn points when you shop at the grocery store and scan your receipts. Use your points to get Xbox gift cards, Visa gift cards or other retailer gift cards.
6. PrizeRebel
PrizeRebel pays you in points for doing activities such as completing surveys or taking advantage of offers.
You can use your points to get your free Xbox gift cards, or you can choose PayPal cash and get paid instantly.
PrizeRebel promises to never sell or market your data. There is a minimum cashout threshold of $5 with PrizeRebel.
7. Shopkick
Shopkick is a site that rewards you with “kicks” when you complete certain activities. For example, you can earn kicks when you shop online at Shopkick partner stores.
You can also earn kicks when you complete activities such as walking into certain stores, scanning barcodes on specific products and more.
In addition, you can earn kicks just for browsing content and watching videos in the Shopkick app. Then you can redeem your kicks to get Xbox gift cards.
Or you can choose to get PayPal cash or other retailer gift cards with your earned kicks.
8. PayPal Honey
The PayPal Honey is a mobile device app and a browser extension that saves you money. It works in the background, searching the net for the best coupons and the best sale prices on items you’re shopping for.
PayPal Honey also gives you cash back when you shop. The app’s free PayPal Rewards program gives you points and cash back on specified purchases.
Once you’ve earned at least 1,000 points, you can use your points to get a free Xbox gift card, a gift card to another retailer or convert it to Paypal cash.
PayPal Honey also has a feature called Droplist. Droplist lets you track items you want but aren’t quite ready to buy, and notifies you when the price has dropped.
9. Fetch Rewards
The Fetch app (formerly Fetch Rewards) is an app that will reward you with points for scanning receipts and e-receipts from any store.
The number of points you earn for each scan varies. Points can be used to get free gift cards to Xbox or other popular retailers.
You can earn points at any store or restaurant, and you’ll get bonus points for buying certain brands.
10. FeaturePoints
FeaturePoints is an app that will pay you in points for various tasks. You can earn points for taking surveys, completing offers, shopping online, entering in contests and more.
You can also earn by referring others to download the app. You’ll be able to get Xbox gift cards with the points you earn, or choose other retailer gift cards or PayPal cash.
The number of points you’ll need to earn in order to cash out varies based on the reward you want. Gift cards are available for as little as $2 (2,000 points).
11. PointClub
PointClub rewards you for sharing your opinion (via surveys), playing games and other activities.
You can use the points you earn to get gift cards to Xbox and other retailers, or get PayPal cash. Movie and retail vouchers are available as payout options as well.
PointClub often has signup bonuses available too. Depending on when you join, you could get a signup bonus of up to 5,000 points or more.
The app also has regular sweepstakes drawings.
12. Ibotta
Ibotta is a shopping app that gives you cash back when you activate special offers. All you have to do after you download the free app is to search for offers at nearby stores or online stores.
Activate your offers before you shop and then make your purchases. The cash back will be credited to your account.
You can use your earnings to get Xbox gift cards, other gift cards or cash. Ibotta partners with thousands of popular stores and works both in-store and online.
The Ibotta community and Ibotta blog are additional features that you can take advantage of when you sign up for the app.
13. TopCashback
TopCashback is another shopping portal that will give you cash back for online purchases. The site calls itself “the USA’s most generous cash back and coupons” site.
The site is completely free to use. All you have to do is shop at partner retailers through the TopCashback website.
The retailers pay TopCashback for any sales, and TopCashback gives 100% of the rebate directly to you.
Note that some advertised sales don’t result in cash back bonuses for you. However, those sales are clearly defined on the website.
Use your cash back to get your free Xbox or other gift cards, including PayPal gift cards.
14. AppNana
AppNana pays you in points for downloading games and other apps and then trying them out. The app’s selection of games and apps changes constantly.
Try out gaming apps, video apps and more for free.
You’re welcome to keep the apps that you download, but you don’t have to. You can use the points you earn to get your free Xbox gift card or other retailer gift cards.
AppNana has a 4.3 rating on the Google Play Store website and over 10 million downloads. The app works safely and doesn’t collect data.
15. ReceiptPal
ReceiptPal gives you points for every receipt you snap a picture of and send to them. You can also link the ReceiptPal app to your Amazon account and automatically get points for Amazon purchases.
The points you earn through ReceiptPal will never expire as long as you are an active member.
Being considered “active” means you need to snap a receipt picture with your ReceiptPal app at least once every 90 days.
There is a minimum redemption amount of 6900 points or so to get a $5 gift card. As of this writing, ReceiptPal only offers $25 gift cards to Xbox.
Other retailers offer smaller gift cards for less points.
16. FreeMyApps
FreeMyApps is an app that lets you download and install different apps, and pays you in points to do so.
You can use your points to get free Xbox gift cards or other gift cards. Note that you have to login via Facebook in order to get points through FreeMyApps.
The apps you can try are sent to you via notification. Sometimes you’ll get app notifications daily, and sometimes it’ll be a few days in between app notifications.
As such, it can take awhile to earn free gift cards through this app. But if you just have it on your phone and take advantage of notifications when you get them, you could earn a free gift card eventually.
17. AppKarma
AppKarma pays you in points when you complete offers. Everytime you complete an offer for an app and download the app, AppKarma gives you points.
They give you points when you continue to use the app as well. Note: When you first launch the app you have to play it for four minutes in order to earn your reward.
Rewards can be used for Xbox gift cards and other retailer gift cards as well.
18. ZoomBucks
ZoomBucks is a GPT site that will pay you when you complete surveys, watch videos or complete offers.
You can use your earnings to get your free Xbox gift card. You can also get gift cards to other retailers including Amazon, Spotify, Walmart, gaming gift cards and more.
In addition, you can use your earnings to get PayPal cash.
19. QuickRewards
QuickRewards works similarly to Swagbucks. You earn points to completing tasks such as:
- Taking surveys
- Playing games
- Watching videos
- Completing offers
- Shopping online
When you’re shopping online to earn points, you need to access the stores you’re shopping at through the QuickRewards portal.
While gift card rewards for Xbox and other stores do have minimums, you don’t have a minimum for cashing out via Paypal when you use QuickRewards.
20. instaGC
InstaGC is another site that helps you earn gift cards for completing activities. The activities instaGC will pay you for are similar to Swagbucks and QuickRewards.
With instaGC, you can earn points for completing surveys, watching videos, shopping online and searching the web.
One cool thing about instaGC is that they’ll send your e-gift card immediately after you’ve ordered it. They send it via email.
You can use your e-gift cards in-store, online or you can send them to a friend.
