The price you’ll pay for your Pumpkin Pet Insurance plan can vary based on multiple factors.
- Your pet’s species/breed

- The annual coverage limit you choose
- Your annual deductible
For this article, I created a plan for my fictitious Labrador Retriever mix, Mutly.
The screenshot below is the monthly premium price for Mutly, in the zip code 15929.
Pumpkin recommends a $10k annual coverage limit, but Pumpkin plans also have a $20k annual coverage limit option and an “unlimited” annual coverage limit option.
“Accident and illness” coverage reimburses you for 90% of your eligible vet costs.
There is also an optional, non-insurance add-on, Preventive Essentials, that would cost $18.95 per month for Mutly.
The Preventive Essentials add-on covers:
- One blood test for heartworm and tick diseases
- Yearly annual wellness exam fee
- Two vaccines for disease prevention
- One fecal test for intestinal worms
Keep in mind that a Pumpkin plan’s rates can vary based on where you live and the characteristics of your pet. The quote I received likely won’t be the same as the one you’ll receive. Your quote could be higher or lower.
